Boeing 720 N7224U 'Caesar's Chariot', Led Zeppelin North American Tour, Summer 1977.

Boeing 720 "Caesars Chariot" - Flugzeug, das vom Standard-Passagier-Layout in eine 45-Sitzer-Luxusversion umgewandelt wurde, die vom berühmten Caesar's Palace Hotel und Casino in Las Vegas bestellt wurde. 1977 wurde sie von der bekannten Rockgruppe "Led Zeppelin" für ihre Tour in die USA genutzt, weil ihr vorheriges Flugzeug "The Starship" Motorprobleme hatte und nicht fliegen konnte.
Während der Tour wurden das Led Zeppelin Logo und das Logo ihres Swan Song Plattenlabels auf dem Rumpf platziert. Nach dem Ende der Tour wurde das Flugzeug an seine Besitzer zurückgegeben.
Im Jahr 1978 nutzte Led Zeppelin dieses Flugzeug zum letzten Mal auf Tour durch die USA. Die nächste grandiose Tournee war für das Jahr 1980 geplant, aber der plötzliche Tod des Schlagzeugers der Gruppe John Bonham am 25. September 1980 brachte ein vorzeitiges Ende der Karriere der größten Rockband des 20. Jahrhunderts. Danach stieg Caesars Chariot mit dem Zeppelin-Logo an Bord nie mehr in die Luft und wurde 1986 von der US-Regierung für die Ersatzteilversorgung der KC-135-Tanker übernommen. In 1977 it was hired by the well-known rock group Led Zeppelin for their tour to the USA, because their previous plane 'The Starship' had engine problems and couldn't fly.
During the tour the Led Zeppelin logo and the logo of their Swan Song record label was placed on the fuselage. After the end of the tour the plane was returned to its owners. In 1978, Led Zeppelin used this plane on tour across the USA for the last time. The next grandiose tour was scheduled for the year 1980, but the sudden death of the group's drummer John Bonham on September 25, 1980 brought an untimely end to the career of the greatest rock band of the Twentieth Century. After that Caesar's Chariot never again rose into the air with the Zeppelin logo on board, and in 1986 it was acquired by the US government for spare part support for the KC-135 tankers. But it lives on in history as the last plane of one of the best rock bands of all time.
